Persistent Storage Manager (PSM)
Products deliver Live Primary Data Protection for servers or appliances running Windows
NT 4.0, 2000, XP or Windows 2003 by creating hundreds of point-in-time
Persistent True Images or snapshots of the data volume. PSM snapshots look just
like the volume at the time of creation and are kept on the active volume to
facilitate the immediate return of individual files, groups of files, folders or
complete volumes.
The value of data is inversely proportional to its age. The first 12 – 24 hours before the first overnight tape backup is preformed, PSM is the
only choice to protect your work. PSM automatically creates dozens of
point in time snapshots from which data can be retrieved without the assistance
of network administration.
Product Solutions
PSM has two management options available:

PSM for the SAK or Storage Server 2003 is tightly integrated into the Server Appliance Kit.
It is designed for OEMs developing NAS Appliance solutions.

PSM for MMC is tightly integrated into the Microsoft Management Console. PSM
for MMC is plug and play compatible with Microsoft's VSS infrastructure in
Windows Server 2003 and is backwards compatible with Windows NT 4.0, Windows
2000 and XP.
